Career Counselling is an important pathway that helps children pursue careers based on interest and ability. It involves inspiration, staged modules, Holland test, group and individual counselling. UAC facilitates this annually for over 5000 students across 60 High Schools and 10 Higher Secondary Schools in the Telkoi and Banspal blocks of Keonjhar district, reaching mostly tribal and underprivileged children.
To promote quality education, UAC works with 40 schools to popularize science through hands-on experiments using customized science kits aligned with the school curriculum. These kits facilitate practical learning, simplify complex concepts, and support teachers in delivering over 200 experiments in Upper Primary and High Schools.
UAC emphasizes early childhood care and education to support the psycho-social and cognitive development of children aged 3–6. The organization trains Anganwadi workers and assists in developing teaching-learning materials (TLMs) that align with the National Education Policy, ensuring grade-appropriate readiness
Special classes are conducted at the Primary Level using the FLN and TaRL methodologies to help children improve in language and math. These sessions take place both in schools and communities, helping children with poor learning levels catch up and reintegrate into the mainstream educational system.
UAC supports vulnerable communities and traditional artisans in improving their skills and livelihoods. Initiatives include promoting Minor Forest Produce (MFP) processing, marketing, and skill refinement among tribal and Dalit communities through women-led groups like Kishori Mahila Jeevika Gosthis.
Pre-school education occupies significance for psycho-social and cognitive development of children between 3 -6 years so they become part of grade appropriate learning as per National Education Policy. Significantly, the organization trains Anganwadi Workers and builds the process with TLM development at Anganwadis.
